J. Kevin Cammack, Advisor
Kevin Cammack brings over 16 years of engineering and business experience, including eight years of solar marketing experience, to his advisory role at EcoVolt Finance. He was previously Senior Director of Finance Products at Solar Universe. At the time, Solar Universe was the seventh largest rooftop solar contractor in the US according to Solar Power World Magazine. While there, he managed oversaw project finance operations for over 40 franchisees and a 250+ solar sales organization. He streamlined underwriting and sales operations to sustain Solar Universe through triple digit growth while maintaining margins. Before that, he was co-founder and COO at Solar Red, an early stage startup developing web-based SaaS tools for solar installers and solar e-commerce. Solar Red was the 2008 winner of the California Cleantech Open Sustainability Prize.
In addition to his solar industry experience, Kevin is currently Director of Grant Programs at Clark Street Associates, assisting Silicon Valley firms secure state and federal funding. He was previously Director, Technical Marketing and Corporate Development at FlexTech Alliance, a consortium of technology firms develop printed electronics and flexible display technology. He was also previously a Senior R&D Manager at global materials manufacturer Nitto Denko and a Mentor for green building startups for Cleantech Open.
Kevin earned a B.S, Chemistry from the University of Florida; a Ph.D. Chemistry form University of California, Berkeley; and an M.S. Management from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business, where he was a Sloan Fellow. Prior to his business career, he held a post-doctoral Associate Scientist position at the University of Arizona and a post-doctoral Research Faculty position at the California Institute of Technology.
